Since Beth began training dogs in 1994, she has helped thousands of clients grow the special bond they share with their best friends. In addition to over 25 years of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds and abilities, Beth is a Certified Canine Behavior Consultant (CBCC-KA) and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a Certified Professional Dog Trainer with the State of Connecticut. She is also a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) (since 1994), a member of the Pet Professional Guild (PPG), which is dedicated to force-free training. She is also a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC).
A passionate rescue advocate, Beth especially enjoys helping owners train dogs who were adopted from shelters or from homes where they were abused or neglected. She has a unique understanding of the challenges these owners face, having operated her own Greyhound rescue for several years.
She has also spent time volunteering at local shelters.
Beth is a firm believer that dog training should be fun! A self-described “agility addict,” she has been teaching and competing in the sport for almost two decades. Her own dogs have earned numerous agility championships through the years. As an instructor, she loves helping others learn how they can have fun and build better relationships with their dogs through opportunities like agility and other dog-related activities.
Since opening It’s PAWSible!® in 1996, Beth’s goal has been to enrich the lives of dogs and their humans. For her, there’s nothing better than the “lightbulb” moment when an owner and dog connect and communicate in a deeper way than they ever have before. Some clients – especially those with what they consider a “problem” dog – have even called this moment a miracle.
At It’s PAWSible!®, anything really is possible.
