C-ATCH Paradox Phlip the Switch, CD, RE, AX, AXJ, EAC, EJC, NGC
(and Beth Ostrowski-Parks)
Phlip came home with us in February of 2003. She was 11 weeks old.
You can read more about her life with us here.
Up until early 2007, she was one of three dogs that I had competing. In December of 2006, I retired Makana at 11 years old. Then, tragically I lost Treasure. Now Phlip is the only dog in the house that is showing in the ring.
Running Phlip in agility is such a rush. She is very fast and she barks the entire time she is working. She is known to finish AKC Jumpers with Weaves courses in less than 26 seconds! So training her and moving up to the level we are at now is and was very challenging. I’ve learned a lot from training her.
As of December 2007, she has earned her AKC Excellent Standard Title, her AKC Excellent Jumpers Title and we are now working toward her AKC Agility Championship.
In NADAC she is currently working at the Elite level.
We are also competing in CPE Agility. She is working on C-ATCH-2 and C-ATE.
In 2007 we started Rally Obedience and she has earned both her Novice and her Advanced title and has earned a leg in Rally O Excellent.
We also started Competition Obedience and in her first two competitions, she won the Novice A class with a first place and a score of 196 out of 200! Phlip earned her third leg with a 1st place again and another score of 196! She now has the Companion Dog title. Some day we will work on our CDX (Companion Dog Excellent).
Phlip has proved herself to be extremely versatile and she has a love for showing in the ring. We’re very proud of her.
