Jamari’s Hidden Treasure (and
Beth Ostrowski-Parks)
"Treasure" July 26, 2000 - March 8, 2007

We lost our Treasure in 2007. He was our sweet Angel boy! We miss him terribly. Please visit his page for his life story.
This is his agility and competition sports story.
Treasure joined our family when he was 7 weeks old in the fall of 2000.
I started training Treasure immediately and very soon we were doing puppy agility classes to build drive and enthusiasm. We started competing in agility when he was 3 years old.
Treasure was extremely fast on course—more than 6 yards per second! He was so much fun to run! We had a great time together running agility for 3 years! I’ll never forget how being in the ring with him was always on the edge! I have great memories . . .
When I lost him in March of 2007 he had won many agility titles. He had earned his AKC Excellent Standard title, his AKC Excellent Jumpers Title, he had earned his Elite titles in every NADAC class there was. No question that Treasure’s favorite past-time was definitely AGILITY! He just loved the sport.
We also had started Rally O in 2006 and he excelled at that and was competing in Rally Level Excellent. He seemed to enjoy that so much, I started him in Competition Obedience. At his first show he did EVERYTHING perfect and would have gotten his novice leg except he moved for the stand for exam enough to get a non-qualifying score. At this second show in Boston, he did everything perfect again including the stand for exam exercise and got second place with a score of 196 out of 200!
Every practice and every seminar was just a blast right up until his last practice on February 24, 2006. Little did I know that I would lose him less than two weeks later.
I feel so fortunate that Treasure is a big part of our Dog Training DVD. Treasure often demonstrates many of the exercises and what they will look like in completion. During the three days we made that DVD, he was so fun and ready for anything!
I LOVED having Treasure in my life and I’ll never forget him.
Here are some awesome pictures of him at work!
