Simon (and Helen Guiheen)

Simon is a Wire Haired Dachsund (brother to Theo). I have had the pleasure of his company since October of 1999 when I acquired him as a 3 month old puppy.

I took Simon to some basic obedience classes at It’s PAWSible! and during some of these classes, they offered a few agility obstacles for the puppies to try. Simon seemed to really enjoy them so I thought it would be fun to try beginner agility classes. Now at the age of 6, the rest is history.

Simon loves to go to class each week. Once he is there he can barely contain his excitement.

Simon and I became hooked on agility. 2005 marks our third year of competition and we both have remained enthusiastic about this sport.

So far Simon has earned all of his Novice titles in NADAC agility, his Open Regular title in NADAC as well. He has also earned his CPE Level 1 and CPE level 2 titles. In AKC, Simon has both is Novice Standard title and his Novice Jumpers title.

Simon is also a TDI therapy dog and visits the elderly at Mt. Marie Nursing home in Holyoke, MA.
